At Milan Fashion Week, visitors showed off their diverse facets. Some played with their sex appeal and showed skin, while others experimented with layers and silhouettes. Stiff suits joined birds of paradise and casual looks.
Lacing and all-white look
In the tight program of Milan Fashion Week, some visitors seem to be pulling together and have agreed on two things: the choice falls on a look in white and cream tones and that lacing is the detail of the outfit. The laces are mainly placed centrally like a corsage, but in some pieces such as skirts and trousers they are also used a little more to the side as an asymmetrical detail.
Some wearers use tight-fitting pieces with lacing to create a more straight-lined, body-hugging silhouette. However, it also offers the space to style additional pieces that work in contrast to the narrow base.
CEO of Street Style
Already in previous seasons Power suits, which particularly stand out due to their bright colors, a popular look in womenswear. These are often styled without any directly visible pieces underneath and thus play with the mix of strong charisma and sexiness. This season the suit is combined with a tie and shirt in a more dressed-up manner and the color selection is also more reserved. This makes the look appear a little more serious and sublime.
The wearers combine this with a pointed shoe that is tone-on-tone but also contrasts with the suit. For long hair, a tight braid reinforces the severity of the look. If your hair is short, it can also be slicked back.
Lingerie
The lingerie trend is still popular and probably much more comfortable than the stiff suit. As with Dolce & Gabbana on the catwalk, the nightwear becomes the focus of the outfit. As a knee-length or floor-length dress, the silky piece can complete the entire look when combined with a pair of high heels. That’s why a jacket can also be styled to make it a little more dressed up. But transparent night dresses that highlight the underwear worn underneath could also be seen. Knee-length stockings with bows and long gloves refine the look.
Wild hats
Anyone who thought that the cowboys and cowboys with their hats were already out and about in the street styles of men’s fashion weeks should now hold on tight. In Milan, some visitors went one step further and showed themselves in the brightest hats with chaotic patterns and details. From the cowboy hat with wild feather trim to the sun hat with a combination of leopard and color explosion to the complete plush fuzzy hat, color was definitely the focus.
And it shouldn’t stay that way. These pieces are statement pieces in themselves, but the wearers have applied the color scheme of their respective hat – according to the motto: more is more – to the entire look and played with different patterns, colors and silhouettes.
Casual cardigans
But summer also seems to be slowly coming to an end in Milan and the days are getting colder. The first visitors to Modweoche showed up in their wide, cozy cardigans. For a casual look, this can be combined as a top alone with wide jeans and a simple skirt. Alternatively, the cardigan can be easily styled over a T-shirt when closed. No matter which look you prefer, the only thing that seems important is that the cardigan has horizontal stripes.
Hoods
The looks in this trend were also very different, with a tight hood taking center stage. Whether coarsely knitted or as a shimmering addition to the look, the street styles showed various facets of this type of headwear, which was combined with different types of dresses but also with a casual outfit consisting of a simple top and kilt.
