Nobody wants a start to the week like this – employees at a supermarket on Rudower Straße in Berlin-Neukölln found signs of a break-in.
At around 4:20 a.m. Monday morning, Edeka employees called the police.
There was a large hole in the roof of the supermarket under which there was a ladder. The ceiling looked desolate – at first it was unclear whether the Edeka market would be able to open at all.
According to initial information, it was supposed to be a break-in.
The fire department was alerted so that they could assist the police in searching the roof.
But burglars could no longer be caught. It was initially not known whether traces of the crime had been secured.
What was stolen and the extent of the damage were still unclear on Monday morning.
