The 100 days of grace have flown and Jaume Collboni continues to govern Barcelona with his 10 councilors. So far without major obstacles, taking advantage of the fact that the spotlights are very aware of the vicissitudes of Pedro Sánchez to continue in the Moncloa. The three heads of the list whom the PSC surprised to win the mayor’s office thanks to the PP are still there, somewhat against the odds. For the socialists, closing a pact with Trias, Colau or Maragall is presumed to be more difficult than doing so with Junts, Barcelona en Comú or ERC once they are beheaded. Surely that’s why they’re not leaving, the three of them have unfinished business with the mayor.
The PSC’s agreement with the PP confirms that, despite the apocalyptics, everything is possible in Barcelona without the sky falling. The mayor has three book options. a logician progressive tripartite with 24 councilorsa comfortable exercise sociovergence with 21and even a repetition of the government with the Commons with the tables turned and with 19 councilors, always pending the search for two votes.

There are other more daring combinations that cannot be ruled out. In reality, the only one that implies an objective danger of instability would be the solitary government of the PSC, hooked on variable geometry to add more votes daily than it has. Colau tried it in his first term and the experiment did not prosper.
The negotiation of budgets is pressing, although it does not suffocate. The extension of the most expansive accounts available to the city would not be an unbearable disaster, just a demonstration of the PSC’s difficulties in closing pacts with leaders still irritated by the June 17 maneuver. The 3.6 billion in the current budget represent a security policy for socialist negotiators, avoiding having to assume and precipitate commitments that could compromise the final governance pact of the city council. Time is on Collboni’s side, even though transience cannot be eternal.
