You’re not likely to encounter dogs at festivals. Except for the Woef Weekend in Wezuperbrug, where the animals enjoy all kinds of activities with their owners.
“We thought: a gap in the market,” beams Milka Kraima-De Vries from the organization. “We missed a weekend where you can spend time with your dog and also get together with other dog lovers.”
The approximately 150 participants are in charge of their own programme. Some of the planned activities include canoeing with your four-legged friend and the ‘dog and brain work’ course. “You can do much more with your dog than just walk,” says Kraima-De Vries.
The idea of a Woef Weekend had been around for much longer. It took a while to find a suitable location. Holiday park Kuierpark offered a solution. “This is perfect for Woef Weekend: everything comes together. Enough space and water. A perfect location,” concludes Kraima-De Vries.
