The 3-year-old girl who died on Monday at a daycare center on Empelseweg in Den Bosch appears to have suffocated by a ribbon she had hanging around her neck. The police assume it was a fatal accident.
The child was found on Monday afternoon around one o’clock in the outdoor area of daycare center ‘t Goudvisje in the Empelen district and was no longer accessible. Emergency services were unable to save the victim.
The girl was the daughter of one of the shelter employees. Because the death affected other children, employees and parents so deeply, the daycare remained closed on Tuesday.
Many people stopped by the childcare center on Tuesday to express their condolences. They laid flowers and lit candles at the gate.
