Premier League – Next bankruptcy: Conte thinks about leaving Spurs

Burnley (AP) – Antonio Conte has questioned his future as coach at Tottenham Hotspur after the fifth defeat in the past six games.

“I’m too honest to accept a situation of this kind and we will certainly evaluate it with the club,” said the Italian, according to the US news agency AP after the 0-1 draw at Burnley FC, which was threatened with relegation. “In the past five games we’ve played like we’re in relegation trouble – that’s the reality,” said Conte. “For the first time in my life there are four defeats in five (games, note). Maybe I’m not that good.”

Tottenham had surprisingly won 3-2 at leaders Manchester City before the 0-1 on Wednesday evening, but before that they lost home games against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton FC and Brighton & Hove Albon and away at Chelsea FC. The club is eighth in the Premier League, three points behind the places in Europe. Conte has only been the Spurs coach since early November.
