HIFK Fotboll announced the sad news on its website.
Aulis Huttunen represented HIFK in the years 1962–1974 for no less than 11 seasons in a row: first as a player and later as a coach.
Aul was considered a humane, respected and versatile coach who knew how to deal with players in the right way.
In his coaching career, Huttunen, who played 161 matches in the championship series as a player, first led HIFK to promotion to the championship, the following season to the bronze medal in the championship, and the silver medal in the following season.
Huttunen was there in October 2014, when the stars returned to the main league level after a 42-year wait.
