CWith the arrival of autumn, hair loss is around the corner. An absolutely normal phenomenon, but it can be stemmed with one correct hair routine that starts with exfoliation of the hair, or rather, of the scalp, because the health of your hair begins right from the roots. To be done at least once a month to strengthen the bulbs.

Long hair: the golden rules for growing it

Scalp exfoliation, anti-hair loss gesture

With the arrival of September, the foliage begins to weaken. First of all, you start to notice the damage caused by sun, wind and salt air if you haven’t adequately protected your hair during the summer. However, it is the stress of the change of season that affects the hair a lot. In autumn, hair loss is a normal phenomenon: around 100 are lost per day, in a process that is part of a total physiological renewal of the hair that occurs approximately every three years.

The life of the hair is strongly influenced by autumn, by changes in time and weather: variations in light and temperature influence hormones such as melatonin and prolactin, which slow down their activity stimulating the follicles less and slowing down hair growth. For this reason it is normal that in this period the hair may appear dull, dull and weakened.

Scalp exfoliation, how and why

A fundamental step of the hair routine is exfoliation. The change of season is the ideal time to use hair scrub in the shower. Just like the skin, the scalp also needs deep cleansing and a stimulus to renewal and regeneration. The beauty of the hair itself depends on it.

In fact, the scrub completely eliminates all traces of styling products, hairspray, gel, mousse and the like, thoroughly cleans smog and pollution, as well as removing excess sebum from the scalp and lengths. Exactly like those for the body, hair scrubs are also chemical or mechanical. The first are those that contain some acids such as salicylic, mandelic or glycolic and act by breaking the bonds of the surface cells so as to renew the hair. It is generally necessary to wait a few minutes before rinsing.

Scrubs, on the other hand, traditionally have a granulated consistency of salt, sugar or fruit shells which, massaged into the hair, remove all impurities.

Rub to reactivate the microcirculation

To be used before shampooing, the hair scrubs are rubbed onto the scalp by delicately massaging with the fingertips and making circular movements. It is essential not to apply any pressure, so as to avoid possible scratches and damage to the skin.

By doing so, you not only clean the leather but above all stimulate it, reactivating microcirculation, essential for awakening and fortifying the hair bulbs, so as to prevent hair loss, as well as re-oxygenate.

When and how often to exfoliate your hair

Step recommended for all hair types, the scrub is particularly suitable if you use a lot of styling products, if you suffer from dandruff or if your hair is particularly greasy. In these cases, exfoliation can be performed once a week.

If instead the hair has no particular problems, the scrub can also be carried out once every two weeks or even once a month.

Without exaggerating, so as not to obtain the opposite effect: the skin dries out too much, the bulb becomes very weak and the hair falls out.
