The police arrested a man at Stockholm’s royal palace: Possessing a knife

Today in Stockholm, King Karle XVI Kusta’s 50th year in power is celebrated.

A nasty incident took place at Stockholm’s Royal Castle when an intoxicated man first tried to get through the barriers to the castle area. According to Göteborgs-Posten, the police arrested the man. During the inspection, a knife was found in the man’s possession.

A more precise motive for breaking into the isolated area is not yet known. According to Swedish newspapers, the man could not be interrogated due to strong intoxication.

– We don’t know if there is a motive or something similar. It is very unclear what he had in mind, because he was so heavily intoxicated, the press manager of the Stockholm police commented on the situation.

The arrested person is suspected of a serious crime against the Weapons Act. According to the police, his questioning will begin as soon as his state of intoxication subsides.
