The Portuguese coach: “Romelu and Paulo are well and have trained without problems. Smalling isn’t: he will probably miss the match”
After a very difficult start to the championship, José Mourinho expects a response from his players in tomorrow’s match against Empoli. The Portuguese coach finds Lukaku and Dybala from the start, but will most likely have to do without Smalling: “Lukaku is in good condition and will play, as will Paulo: he has trained well and is very confident. Chris is not at his best, he will probably miss the match against Empoli.” Then he continued: “I have many players, they are all different and each has his own characteristics. On the flanks I have different alternatives, but each player is comfortable in a certain type of system.” On Roma’s uphill start he said: “This is a challenge, to myself and to others. We are not nervous and we must not panic, we have time to recover.”
