CALL | What is your message for Budget Day? | Home

Tuesday is Budget Day and the government will announce its plans for the near future. The day of hats, the speech from the throne and the carriage in which the king rides through The Hague. There are often people with banners or cardboard signs along the route. What would you put on that?

Gathered in preparation for Budget Day the Stentor ‘banners’ from readers. On Budget Day itself, Tuesday September 18, we will create our own ‘banner route’ in our newspaper and in our app in the morning.

An excellent opportunity to show what you find important: what should politicians be concerned with? What needs to be done differently, or what went well? Maybe you have a wish for something or someone?

Sending is very simple: you can send an app to 06 155 481 65 or complete the form below. You can print the photo above and write something on it, make something yourself or send us your message in text. In any case, please also mention it your first name, last name, age and place of residence.

You will also see an empty banner on the front page of our newspaper on Saturday on which you can write something, photograph it and then send it to us via email or WhatsApp. You can email our editor Bram via [email protected]. The final deadline is Monday September 18 at 3:00 PM.

Curious what something like that looks like? In May we asked our readers what freedom means. That resulted in this article: This is what you say about freedom: ‘With responsibility, otherwise things will go wrong’
