Ex-footballer Mikael Forssell and his wife Metti Forssell have started a new podcast Metti & Miklu. The podcast discusses the couple’s relationship and family life.
Metti and Mikael talk about the beginning of their relationship in the first episode of the podcast. Mikael saw the young Met 11 years ago on a terrace in Helsinki and knew immediately that the blond beauty would be his wife.
The couple slowly started seeing each other and keeping in touch.
– You were heavy for me! I wrote you extremely long texts, and you answered me in an ok style, says Mikael.
– I put thought into them and you just gave them the cold shoulder, Mikael continues.

Metti says that he did not understand the messages at all. Metti wasn’t sure about the two’s relationship. Whenever Metti and Mikael were supposed to meet each other, Metti arranged work for the same day so that he would have a good reason to miss the date.
However, Mikael knew very soon that he loved Matt and confessed his love three weeks after they started dating.
– I said thank you. I mean, it’s really terrible, but I have to be honest, Metti laughs.
– Actually, now that we’re going through this, you’ve been absolutely horrible in the early stages of our relationship, says Mikael.

The couple got married in 2015. The two now have three children together.
