Roswita did not know what she saw when she suddenly saw human feces next to her wheelie bin and in her garden chairs on Monday morning. The surveillance footage showed that a complete stranger had been defecating in her garden and garden chairs in the middle of the night.
“When I saw the poop, I first looked up because I thought it had been a bird. But that wasn’t possible. It was human poop. So strange,” says the 36-year-old Eindhoven resident.
When Roswita looked back at the surveillance images, she saw to her shock and surprise what had happened: around half past four in the morning, an unknown man was defecating next to the wheelie bin and the garden chairs. And a little later you can see that he is wiping his behind with the cushions of the garden chairs.
“Then ring the bell if you really have to.”
And it doesn’t stop at pooping in the garden. Twenty minutes later the man returns again. The camera footage then shows him grabbing a lighter and taking it with him.
Roswita decided to post the images on Facebook, ‘to stop that man’. “Then ring the bell if you really have to,” she writes above her post.
She says that she sees that things are stolen from other gardens in the area more often. But she doesn’t know whether that is the same person. “We don’t recognize him. But, one thing is certain: I have never experienced something so strange in my life.”
The poop-soiled cushions will of course go in the trash, says Roswita: “I’m going to buy a new set.”
