The Danish national football team has taken an important step towards the European Football Championship in Germany this year.
Against Finland, the previous leaders of the Group H, the 2021 European Championship semi-finalist won 1-0 (0-0) and took the lead in the table. Former Bayern professional Pierre Emile Hojbjerg scored the winning goal in the 86th minute. He gave Leverkusen keeper Lukas Hradecky no chance with a long-range shot.
After six out of ten games, Denmark is in the tight group with 13 points, just ahead of Finland and Kazakhstan (both 12).
