Miljuschka Witzenhausen sat at the table yesterday at Today Inside. A total mismatch? She certainly thinks so about Mona Keijzer and Caroline van der Plas. “Uncanny feeling.”
It almost never works in Today Inside: a woman at the table. Hélène Hendriks has now completely settled in there, but otherwise mainly male guests are joining us. And to break that, Miljuschka Witzenhausen was allowed to visit yesterday. “We have quite a problem with women,” René van der Gijp immediately warns.
Tool box
René states that somehow it often just doesn’t match with women. “It’s fun with women in between or at the bar or the girl ehhh… Roxane, yes. Or Merel, you know. But for most of the women who were between us, things didn’t go well. You can have that. I don’t know if that was their fault. They had also planned too much.”
They had planned too much? Just then Miljuschka puts the enormous toolbox she brought with her on the table. What is in it? All snacks for the gentlemen. Nothing else is done with it, the gentlemen don’t taste anything, but the thing is then on screen for fifteen minutes. Disturbing, viewers complain on social media.
Complete mismatch
Miljuschka does not seem like a born VI guest. For example, she doesn’t actually want to talk about politics, even though that is a main topic in the talk show. “I know you guys talk about politics sometimes. I think that’s a bit of a puppet show, politics. I can talk about it, but it is not what I prefer to do.”
Wilfred Genee tries it anyway: “If I say Mona Keijzer and Caroline van der Plas, what do you say?”
Miljuschka: “A complete mismatch, but sometimes opposites attract. When I look at it, I kind of get one uncanny feeling of.”
Sheer nonsense
Johan Derksen is a big BBB fan and goes against it. “Did you want to have two Carolines and two Monas? I think this is the ideal match. They complement each other. One is representative, the other a go-getter.”
Miljuschka: “That’s what I say: opposites often attract, but I really think… Yes, no… When they stand next to each other, I think: everyone has chosen Caroline, that is where everyone has gone and then Do you have Mona now… Yes, we will see how it turns out.”
Johan is not impressed by his VI guest: “I think it’s complete nonsense so far.”
Miljuschka: “You can think so, that’s okay, that’s okay.”

How on earth does Miljuschka end up at VI? Does her neighbor and good friend Eva Jinek approve of that? “It’s because you have a fanatical editorial staff member, Sam, who has been calling for two years and says: ‘Are you coming to join us?’”
Oops, Sam van Royen, the son of Heleen van Royen who seriously damaged Eva’s career by spreading dirty gossip about her behind the scenes at VI. “Dancing on the grave!”
Miljuschka herself indicates after the commercial break that she is satisfied: “Yes, good. I was kind of thinking: what’s going to happen? But it’s going well.”
What do the men think of VI? Wilfred: “You will hear that on the channel tomorrow. Then maybe we’ll see each other again. Hahaha.”
