PvdA member Saskia Manusama is stepping down as a municipal councilor in Hoogeveen. Because of a new job that cannot be combined with the council membership, she leaves politics behind.
Its last council meeting is in October. Manusama’s seat is taken by Jan de Goede. Manusama became a councilor for the PvdA a year and a half ago. “In the past year and a half, as a councilor for the PvdA, I have committed myself with great love, pleasure and from a social heart to the residents of our municipality,” she says.
Manusama starts working at SWW for Talent Hunters. “Unfortunately, this position cannot be combined with my role as councilor. With the same social heart, with the same passion, drive and energy, I will continue to work for Hoogeveen society. Only in a different place.”
Her successor Jan de Goede is currently a substitute councilor for the PvdA. He lives in Hoogeveen and teaches history at the Roelof van Echten College.
