The month began with the death of “Margaritaville” singer Jimmy Buffett, who died on September 1, 2023 of complications from skin cancer. On September 4th we had to say goodbye to two celebrities: acclaimed composer and musician Gary Wright and Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell.
