Produced by Stand by me, the program is now in its eighth edition and is based on the English format First dates. The protagonists are single in search of true love. To succeed in their enterprise, they rely on good luck… and on the nose of the authors. In fact, they agree to participate in a first blind date.
The location is a restaurant located in the heart of a period villa. Once they arrive, they are greeted by the maître Barbara and accompanied to the table. From there on, it’s all in their hands. When faced with a potential soul mate, they tell each other. Anecdotes, experiences, points of view: everything is worth it. And at the end of the dinner they are called to enter the confessional alone.
Each reveals to the cameras what he thinks of the other. First impressions, but also first intentions, which hopefully match. After that the moment of truth arrives: both want to see each other again with the aim of getting to know each other better and maybe start a love story? Or will their paths separate once they leave the club?
The interesting element of the program is the variety of the cast. Each participant is single and brings their own experience with them. There are those who have not found a soul mate because they love their freedom very much, those who want to overcome their insecuritieswho stops in front of the unwelcome zodiac sign, who wants to live an experience out of the ordinary, but also who is an incurable romantic and trusts in true love.

Flavio Montrucchio is entrusted with the role halfway between the landlord and Cupid. Observe the progress of the dinner, gives advice at the right time, reassures and encourages when needed. After First appointment 2023 comes a new spin off
First appointment 2023however, will air every Tuesday evening until December. In January, the program goes on hiatus, but does not abandon the Real Time audience. Here comes the new spin-off First date in hotel version. A new location, larger than the classic restaurant, in which singles will have the opportunity to stay beyond dinner after the initial meeting.
The experiment comes after the bet of First date cruise, which aired in 2021 and 2022. In that case, the format moved to a cruise ship. And singles weren’t limited to a first meeting at a bar or restaurant, but could choose to continue their acquaintance in other areas of the boat.
