Simone is in his third consecutive year on the Nerazzurri bench, it hasn’t happened since the days of Mancini
Simone Inzaghi has renewed his contract with Inter. The Piacenza coach, in his third consecutive year on the Nerazzurri bench (it hasn’t happened since Roberto Mancini that a coach led Inter for so long), has signed until 2025, thus extending by one year. Inzaghi was due to expire at the end of the season, but the renewal issue was never dealt with in the rush of having to close the discussion immediately: there has always been the intention on both sides to continue together.

The announcement comes during the break, after Inter made a sprint start in the league with nine points won, eight goals scored and none conceded. In sight there is the derby at the top, the nerazzurri will get there with a freshly renewed coach and firmly in his place on the bench: in two years Inzaghi has brought four trophies (twice the Supercoppa and as many times the Italian Cup) and dragged Inter in the Champions League final, lost against Manchester City in Istanbul. Now we have to chase the big shot: the Scudetto and the second star. Inzaghi increasingly leader of the Nerazzurri: the renewal is a reward for the work done up to now.
