PSV does not play great, but easily beats RKC

PSV did not make a mistake at RKC Waalwijk. The Eindhoven club won 4-0 against their fellow provincial without any problems. The people of Eindhoven thus put a thick line under an excellent start to the season. At the Waalwijk club, the situation is significantly different with zero points from four games.

The supporters who had bought a ticket in the sold-out Mandemakers Stadium were not exactly spoiled. PSV’s matches won’t get much more boring this season. RKC could not break pots against the people of Eindhoven who played at perhaps only 30 percent.

That will increase the concerns in Waalwijk, because despite the fact that PSV played very poorly, it was ‘just’ 2-0 after an hour of football. Joey Veerman had put the 1-0 on the scoreboard with a controlled shot just before the break. After the break, Noa Lang benefited from a slipper from RKC defender Jeffrey Bruma (ex-PSV).

Young in shape
Concerns among the supporters will not have diminished for the home team. Of course no one had any illusions that she would beat PSV on Saturday night. But the Eindhoven team did not play great at all. The RKC of last season would undoubtedly have handled this better.

Luuk de Jong made it 3-0 for PSV. The striker symbolizes PSV’s fantastic start to the season in terms of results. It is still flawless in the competition, it won the Johan Cruijff Shield and qualified for the Champions League as icing on the cake. De Jong has been involved in twelve goals in eight games since the start of the season. Substitute Malik Tillman made the difference even bigger by making it 4-0.

Difference
The contrast between the only two Brabant teams in the Eredivisie could not be greater at the moment. PSV is clear at the top. RKC is still winless this season.

The program of the Waalwijkers is the only one that is still in favor for the time being. The start of the season is not easy with matches against AZ and PSV.
