Great willingness for second booster shot in Limburg | 1Limburg

About 84 percent of Limburgers are ready to get a new booster shot during the next round of vaccinations. Only in Zeeland is the willingness slightly higher at 85 percent.

This is evident from figures from LocalFocus in collaboration with Kieskompas.

National higher
About ten percent say they ‘definitely or probably not’ opt for a new booster shot. Nationally, that percentage is two percent higher. This means that one in eight Dutch people forgoes a possible next boost.

No idea
Almost six percent of Limburgers say they do not yet know whether they will get a new booster shot. Nationally, it appears that one in ten Dutch people has no idea yet. This percentage is highest among young people.

Survey
Between January 28 and February 7, more than 4,400 people were asked whether they have already had a booster shot or are planning to get this first boost. Respondents who indicated that this was the case were then asked how they feel about a possible second booster round.

Age
The research shows that older people are more likely to get the next boost. About 85 percent of Dutch people aged 65 or older opt for the jab. The willingness is lower among young people. That comes down to about seventy percent.

Corona dashboard
According to the Coronadashboard, six out of ten Dutch people are currently boosted. Whether there will be another booster round and who it is for has not yet been decided. The Health Council did advise last Friday to give the most vulnerable adults an extra shot. This concerns all people over the age of 70, nursing home residents and adults with Down syndrome or a serious immune disorder.
