Confusion about BVB decision at Bella-Kotchap

National player Armel Bella-Kotchap was recently associated with both FC Bayern and BVB. While Munich’s considerations are reportedly going to another player, there are different reports about how Borussia Dortmund plans in terms of personnel.

According to the “WAZ”, the German runner-up has now moved away from a transfer from Armel Bella-Kotchap. The reason: His employer FC Southampton simply demands too much for the central defender.

A loan deal with a subsequent firm commitment was under discussion until the very end. But the conditions of this transfer model are said to have been too high for BVB.

According to reports, Borussia Dortmund does not have much financial leeway to add personnel again a few days before the end of the change period. We are talking about just ten million euros. And since another center forward is also on BVB’s wish list, there is little left for Bella-Kotchap.

After rethinking at FC Bayern: Bella-Kotchap to BVB still possible?

The transfer poker for the ex-Bochumer is rated very differently on the TV channel “Sky”. Accordingly, a change of the 21-year-old to BVB is far from off the table.

Rather, it has now become clear that the black and yellow no longer have to compete with FC Bayern when it comes to courting the defender. When looking for a successor to Benjamin Pavard, the Munich team is therefore fully focused on Chelsea professional Trevoh Chalobah.

This is one of the reasons why Bella-Kotchap is now all the more drawn to Dortmund, according to “Sky” on Wednesday evening. But even the pay-TV broadcaster knows that Borussia would have to stretch themselves financially for a commitment.

The loan fee for the German national player is said to be eight million euros, after which a 20 million euro purchase obligation would apply. In addition, five million euros in possible bonus payments could go to Southampton FC. The salary and the consultant fees would even come on top of that.
