4-year-old girl seriously injured after falling from window

The girl had climbed out of a window on the first floor around 9:15 this morning. She tried to keep her balance, but failed. The toddler made a heavy fall, and landed a few meters below in the grass. A neighbor informed the emergency services and the girl’s father. He was present in the house, but was still sleeping. According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of West Flanders, there is no question of malicious intent.
