10th place: Workday
In the second quarter of the year, Commerzbank added Workday to its portfolio and the software provider’s stocks made it directly into the top ten holdings. Commerzbank bought 69,445 shares of Workday valued at around $15.69 million as of the June 30 reporting date. The papers came to 1.93 percent of the entire depot.

9th place: Newmont Mining
The US mining company Newmont Mining follows in ninth place. Commerzbank significantly increased its stake in Newmont Mining in the second quarter and bought 367,738 shares. As of the end of June, she owned 385,238 shares of Newmont Mining worth approximately $16.43 million. This position made up 2.02 percent of the total portfolio.

8th place: T-Mobile US
Deutsche Telekom subsidiary T-Mobile US made it to number eight among Commerzbank’s largest US holdings in the past quarter, falling one position compared to the previous quarter. 7th place: Palo Alto Networks
A stake in Palo Alto Networks was also added in the second quarter. Commerzbank bought 155,061 shares of Palo Alto Networks worth $39.62 million as of June 30. With a depot share of 4.86 percent, the investment made it straight to seventh place.

6th place: PayPal
Payments service provider PayPal, which ranked third in the first quarter, fell to sixth place among the largest US holdings, although Commerzbank also increased that position. In the second quarter of 2023, another 118,772 PayPal shares found their way into the portfolio. The 1,061,939 shares held at the end of June were worth around $70.86 million at the time. The proportion of the total portfolio was 8.7 percent.

5th place: Cisco
Commerzbank has also significantly increased its stake in Cisco. In the second quarter, 1,334,603 Cisco shares were added, so that there were 1,370,986 papers in the portfolio as of the reporting date. 3rd place: Comcast
The podium opened in the second quarter of the cable network operator Comcast. Commerzbank bought 36,088 Comcast shares from April to June. As of the reporting date, there were 1,844,703 shares worth around 76.65 million US dollars in the portfolio, which accounted for 9.41 percent of the financial house’s entire US portfolio.

2nd place: Deutsche Bank
The ADRs traded on the NYSE by Commerzbank’s competitor Deutsche Bank are also among the financial house’s largest US holdings. In the second quarter, however, Commerzbank reduced its position: it sold 659,878 shares, so that as of the reporting date there were still 7,894,319 securities in the portfolio, which were worth around USD 83.13 million. This brings the participation to a share of 10.20 percent of the total portfolio and second place in the ranking.

1st place: Alphabet – Class A
First place with a portfolio share of 20.11 percent goes to the A shares of Google parent Alphabet in the second quarter of 2023. Commerzbank bought 1,339,878 shares in the past quarter, so that there were 1,368,452 shares in the portfolio at the end of June. These were worth around $163.8 million and accounted for 20.11 percent of the total portfolio.
