The Croatian series champion pays a fee of 500,000 euros for one year and then has a purchase option of 4 million euros. The Munich team have completely written off their homegrown talent – Vidovic has been playing for FCB since he was 12 – but not yet. For 11 million euros, Bayern could then bring the left winger back to Säbener Straße with a buyback clause.

Vidovic was on the field four times for the Munich pros. In the past season he provided an assist in his only appearance on matchday 3 against VfL Bochum (7-0), but was loaned out to the Eredivisie shortly before the end of the transfer. In Arnhem the right foot was used in the first half of the season, but only played a subordinate role in the second half and mostly came off the bench (25 games/4 goals).
Things didn’t go any better in preparation under Tuchel. Like Arijon Ibrahimovic (17), Vidovic was not allowed to travel to the training camp at Tegernsee in July and was not part of the squad for the competitive games.
