American tourists have nowhere to go in Haarlem due to F1 madness

On their European tour Cindy and Debbie from Texas thought they would also visit Haarlem. “But we hit hard on the wall of Formula One.” They didn’t know that this is the race weekend in Zandvoort and sometimes they don’t know how to get somewhere.

While café Het Wachtlokaal on Stationsplein fills up with F1 fans in orange uniforms waiting for the rain before cycling to Zandvoort, Cindy and Debbie also take a rest on the covered terrace. They want to go to the center of Haarlem, looking for nice shops. But a taxi is not to be found. Difficult, because Cindy has a bit of difficulty walking.

But the American tourists keep smiling cheerfully, even when it rains. “We don’t have that much in Texas, so we enjoy that in our own way.” Between the showers they continue their way to the Grote Markt, while the other guests of the café jump on their bikes to the Circuit Zandvoort.
