– Wonderful, Wilma, wonderful! supporters cheered in honor of the pole vaulter.

The fresh World Cup medalist had a sunny smile on his face.

– When I look at you, I remember Egotrip’s song Hey never ever never change. You exude goodness and authenticity. It’s wonderful to see how you performed and represent Finland in the world, chairman of the Finnish Sports Association Riikka Pakarinen thank you

Murto celebrated the pole vault World Championship bronze late Wednesday evening at the same hotel. Suomalaistahtih admitted that he only went to sleep in the morning.

– We sat in the cabinet among the team, relatives and friends for a couple of days. The evening went peacefully, Murto said.

– I went to sleep around five o’clock. I noticed it when I answered the messages and replies started coming back from Finland. I thought now would be a good time to close my eyes, he laughed.

Congratulations have been pouring in since last night.

– I have only seen a fraction of them. It takes time to prune and go through them. It’s a staggering wave. It becomes clear how much people follow sports.

Murto won the WC bronze with a score of 480.
