Every fifth Russian would like to receive an old or souvenir coin as a gift for the New Year, according to a survey by Ozon (RBC has it). More than 1.5 thousand people all over the country took part in the study.
A quarter of the respondents (24%) consider old and souvenir coins to be an original and memorable gift, and 18% noted that this is a liquid asset that is steadily growing in price. At the same time, only 9% of respondents are seriously interested in numismatics.
Every sixth (17%) reported that they had already received a souvenir coin as a gift for the New Year, and every fifth gave such coins to friends.
Most Russians who would like to receive coins for the New Year live in Perm (43%), Rostov-on-Don (37%), Samara (32%), Novosibirsk (26%), Chelyabinsk and Voronezh (25% each ), Omsk and Kazan (24% each) and Krasnodar (20%).
