He wants to cover the distance of 4,200 kilometers in 50 days and walks about 100 kilometers a day. Forest fires make it a bit more difficult, but Karel keeps his spirits up. The finish is for Thursday or Friday.
“Suddenly all of Washington is on fire. There is a lot of smoke. But the trail remains open for now. There will be a closure in a few days, forcing me to detour. But it is what it is. I feel tired, but strong . We keep going. Canada is getting closer and closer.”
