This book will be talked about in the pop world: According to reports Britney Spears has signed a book deal. The contract with the publisher Simon & Schuster is said to bring her around 15 million US dollars and came about after a fight between different publishers for the best offer.
A few weeks ago, she indicated that Britney Spears wanted to tell and write down her story herself. On Instagram, she posted a photo of a typewriter with the caption: “Shall I start from THE BEGINNING???”
Spears’ personal descriptions of the sometimes overturning events in her career and her private life meant, among other things, a necessary regaining of the sovereignty of interpreting her biography: At the end of the 90s and the beginning of the noughties, she was one of the most successful pop stars in the world. After a mental breakdown in 2007, her father Jamie Spears was awarded guardianship over his daughter, which only ended in November 2021 after more than 13 years.
Numerous documentaries have tried again and again to illuminate Spears’ fate. She herself spoke publicly in court for the first time in the summer of 2021 about her view of things – and not only wants to do this more in her planned memoirs in the future. Among other things, she announced an extensive interview with US presenter Oprah Winfrey. Spears also wants to devote himself to music again.
