The new spaces of the nightlife

At a certain age, the nights out they take on another relief. You are no longer comfortable in crowded places, nor is the quality of the drinks overlooked. In fact, the focus is also on the gourmet proposal. The night move, once over 30, has its own codes and keys. And there are places that have understood them very well.

The exclusive places

One of the most valued points for this segment is exclusivity. Going to places with a certain aura of sophistication and that do not offer the same proposal as everyone is valued. That same proposes 100a night club in Puerto Madero whose name alludes to the fact that it will only open for 100 nights.

Opened in July, the appointment is on Fridays and the promise is that each night “will be unique and unrepeatable.” In this way, the architectural proposal was designed by the architect Leonardo Militello, who also designed the award-winning Osten restaurant, right next door and owned by the same owners. “We believe that life is made of moments and we propose that it be 100 where they happen, fusing the best music, art and passion for life in a unique and exclusive place. This cycle is part of a cultural space where other types of artistic, social and musical performances will also take place”, describes Iván Ginevra, creative businessman.

About music, funk and house They were present at the inauguration, as well as the “cachengue”. Here celebrities such as Pocho Lavezzi, Franco Masini, Luciana Salazar and Benjamín Alfonso were seen dancing.

Another space that is characterized by its aura of exclusivity is bagatelle. The French restaurant with branches in Saint Tropez, New York and Tulum, among others, in Buenos Aires is located in the Palermo Hippodrome and offers everything the +35 generation is looking for: haute cuisine, signature cocktails and a memorable party. Between works of pop art and animal sculptures, a space unfolds in which the night begins with a meal in which dishes such as sautéed prawn ceviche or filet mignon with criolla sauce stand out. The bar accompanies signature drinks and classic cocktails.

But it’s not until 11:30 p.m. that the real Bagatelle experience begins. Here, waiters pass around bottles of French champagne and light sparklers, inviting diners to indulge in the music of the DJ on duty, whose beats range from lounge, deep, afro and organic house to classic remixes and current house and electro hits. pop. In addition, it is allowed to get on the tables and you can see the waiters “on horseback”. Some famous regulars are Flavia Palmiero, Mica Vázquez, Nico Riera and Mike Amigorena.

Party

Although talking about exclusivity is also talking about those places that choose to keep their proposal discreet, covering it with a very attractive halo of mystery. They are those who do not seek to advertise, because it is word of mouth that makes them successful. So it happens in verne buenavista, which opens on Thursdays in the North Zone only with prior reservation. Located on a 3-hectare property with a lake, it offers a very relaxed setting that encourages a vibe of relaxation and vacations. These days, his winter proposal takes place in a Moroccan-style tent. Here the fixed three-course menu is served with a drink, while in a nearby barbecue area, with an air of the Tulum beaches, the bar operates. The music is in charge of rotating DJs, but it is always curated by the owners. It usually revolves around the organic or tribal house style. “It’s not a speakeasy, but the people who come are from the area, many are friends,” they say, adding that they choose to open on Thursdays because they are quieter nights. “We heal it and keep it small. We like people to find us”, they summarize.

Bowling 100

Go dancing

Speaking specifically of bowling alleys, Crete, in waterfront, is one of the most successful. Here, from the very admission, the age is instructed and the target is 28 and over. It is that the intention is to create a meeting climate, not only between acquaintances but also to promote new links. “It’s a social move,” they detail.

Here the wave is divided in two: while on the terrace with a view of the river and a sliding roof, commercial electronic music sounds, inside the premises “cachengue” sounds. And although they do not offer food in the traditional format, there are specific events and so they open from 10 or 11 at night (the usual time is at 12). This segment is called “la previa” and is activated for specific groups, with sectors where giant jengas, table football and a beer point are located. In some of these cases they also add traying and catering.

Bowling

Towards the lakes of Palermo, Augustus and Augusta they also offer options for +30. The proposals, located one next to the other, complement each other according to the season and temperature. While Augusto is a closed space, Augusta is an outdoor bar. Both work as a restaurant and the passing of the hours and the change of the music are transforming them. “Both of them offer to go out to eat and decide if you want to stay dancing for an hour or until it’s over, but both build up gradually, which is ideal for people who want to continue going out but have a hard time locking themselves up or queuing up in a bowling alley . Here you go to eat and then you go to see”, encourages Álvaro Perrotta, managing partner. The music is “of the moment”, a bit of everything and a lot of “cachengue”, because the intention is that there is a theme that hooks and makes you want to dance. According to Perrotta, the 35+ generation is looking for good service, eating well and continuing to have fun without the sacrifice of waiting until 2 in the morning to go dancing.

Drink

bingo and karaoke

Finally, there are also hybrid proposals, which offer gastronomy but also brighten up certain nights with original slogans. at the branch of Ona of Olives, Thursdays are drag bingo, with the drag queen Socorro, and Fridays are karaoke, with the presence of Flow Gateño. “Those nights, Orno becomes an entertainment space different from what one expects from a restaurant. They are not shows to behold; after dinner everyone can participate”, describes Guadalupe García Mosqueda, alma mater of the place.

The idea arose after the pandemic, when they saw the need to do something different from what all the pizzerias were doing. After trying it out and hearing comments like “I was hoarse from shouting the karaoke songs so much”, they decided that it would be an installed cycle, and they have been purely calling for two years now. “What surprises me the most is seeing people of my generation having fun with the show, interacting between tables, singing and dancing. I think that it was necessary to be able to have fun without thinking about whether you were making a fool of yourself”, summarizes the creator, giving another of the keys to this new version of the night.
