Jan Yperman temporarily cancels consultations in the outpatient clinic after a fire

The outpatient clinic did not so much abandon the fire, but mainly sustained water damage. The cleaning and repair works have started and it is not yet clear how long they will take. “No consultations are possible until the end of next week.”

Specialists from the Jan Yperman Hospital normally conduct consultations and examinations in the outpatient clinic. GPs also refer patients to it to have X-rays taken, for example.

Residents setting

On Thursday night, all 54 residents of care institution De Lovie were preventively taken to hospitals in the area with light smoke intoxication. No one was injured. The institution has now found a new temporary shelter for every resident. A malfunctioning game console caused the fire.
