Statement from Fenerbahçe about the events in Slovenia!

Fenerbahce, who faced the Slovenian representative Maribor on the road in the third qualifying round of the UEFA European Conference League, said about the tribune events that broke out in the 66th minute of the match, “We will follow the whole process before UEFA regarding this grave event caused by Maribor fans.” made the statement.

In the statement made on the website of the yellow-dark blue club, the following statements were included:

“In the match our team played, when there was no problem in the stands, there were events that we would definitely not accept when the supporters of the opposing team attacked the banner in the stands and removed the banner from the stands. The police teams working in the stadium did not interfere with the Slovenian fans who caused this incident, it was not enough to protect our Fenerbahçe. Our fans and all of our tribune, who showed the reflex to take back the banner that was removed from the stands, were unjustly expelled from the stadium. The information reaching our club is that the police showed a cross-border approach to our fans when they were taken out of the stadium. We wish our fans a good time, who put their stance as it should, and we present to the public that we will be a follower of the whole process at UEFA regarding this grave incident caused by the Maribor fans.”
