The authorities in Tenerife are evacuating thousands of people because of the large wildfire on the touristic Spanish island. Firefighters are struggling to get the fire under control. Tour operator TUI is monitoring the situation, but underlines that Belgian travelers are not currently in the danger zone. Foreign Affairs is aware of about forty Belgians who are staying in the immediate vicinity of the fires in Tenerife.
