Aalsmeer gets Swedish player Evon Mohlin, who is still injured

The handball players of Aalsmeer get a new Scandinavian player. Evon Mohlin comes over from IFK Kristianstad from Sweden. The 22-year-old handball player, who is still recovering from a serious injury, will play as a left-builder at Aalsmeer.

“Evon is a very interesting player for us who was trained in Sweden,” says Aalsmeer trainer/coach Wai Wong on the club site. “He is a real shooter with length, a good shot, but an eye for the circle runner and his fellow players.”

Mohlin did not play for his club last season due to a serious knee injury. The rehabilitation lasted nine months and he is not yet match fit. “It will be a while before he comes into action in the competition, but when the time comes I’m sure he will be of added value.”

The Netherlands is not unknown territory for Mohlin. The Swede is in possession of a double passport because one of his parents is from the Netherlands. In March 2022 he was at Papendal to train with the Dutch team. At Aalsmeer, Mohlin will have to compete with Tim Bottinga and Don Hartog

Last season, Aalsmeer failed to extend the national title. In the semi-finals, Lions was a size too big.
