Due to the rapidly rising mortgage interest rates, home buyers can borrow less money, which means that house prices have fallen slightly. A provisional low point now seems to have been reached. House prices rose again in June, by a national average of 0.2% compared to the previous month. More homes were also sold. According to figures from the Land Registry, there were almost 6% more transactions than in May.
Figures for our province are not yet available for June.
