Women’s World Cup breaks the two million mark for the first time

No goals, but many spectators: The zero number between France and Jamaica on Sunday gave ARD the best TV ratings so far at the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

On average, 2.04 million fans (market share: 19.0 percent) watched the game, which started at 12 p.m. German time. For the first time at the young World Cup, more than two million viewers sat in front of the screens.

The match between England and Haiti (1-0) on Saturday provided the best odds of 1.61 million.
