Lukaku, Instagram post: “They Tell Lies” | Inter

After a long (too much?) silence, Romelu Lukaku speaks again. The Belgian striker owned by Chelsea decided to do it through his account Instagramwith a story composed of two sentences in English written in white on a gradient background between white and black: “When hate doesn’t work, they start telling lies”. All accompanied by a single emoticonsthe one that portrays the two fingers – index and middle – arranged in a V as a sign of victory.

Sincerity

No recipients or targets are specified in the message, but the will to Big Rome to make himself heard and to express himself (albeit in an enigmatic way) in an issue in which he is the absolute but silent protagonist, divided between Inter, Chelsea, Juventus and Saudi Arabia. The use of the term “lies” by those who, in a three-year period, has repeatedly run into sudden about-faces after declarations of love not always followed by the facts, has sparked debate. Perhaps due to his impulsiveness, Lukaku has repeatedly had to deal with some lies, including his own.
