In 2020, singer-songwriter Tim Knol started De Wandelclub, an idea in which walkers are taken to the most beautiful places in the country. The artist also treats the followers to an open-air performance during the tour. Saturday morning, De Wandelclub settles in Amen to complete the Acht van Amen walking route. The walk starts at Café de Amer at 11 a.m.

For the little ones, the Fairytale Gardens near Havelte and Uffelte are the place to start the summer holiday. The children encounter all kinds of things: a witch in love, an ugly duckling, a gnome village, seven rainbow fairies and a fairytale princess. The fairytale weekend will be officially opened on Saturday with an opening party at the sheepfold in Havelte. The performances can be admired in Havelte and Uffelte all weekend.
