Ivo de Bruin 26th on the four-man bob
Bobsleigher Ivo de Bruin finished 26th in the four-man bob at the Olympics. Prior to the third run on Sunday, de Bruin was still 25th. He came down in 1.00.08, his slowest time yet, and lost a spot as a result.
Before the race, de Bruin and his team hoped for a place in the top twenty, which would mean that he would be allowed to participate in the final run. The bobsleigher was initially not qualified for the Olympic Games, but was allowed to participate after he was nominated by the bobsleigh federation. He also competed in the two-man bob, where he finished in 23rd place earlier this week.
