A suspicious object in front of the Ministry of Finance in Berlin-Mitte triggered a large-scale police operation on Tuesday evening.
Around 7 p.m., a bag was found on Wilhelmstrasse and classified as possibly dangerous. As a result, Wilhelmstrasse and Leipziger Strasse were cordoned off over a wide area. The traffic of the BVG was also affected.

The defusers from the LKA approached with a demolition robot. Only after an investigation could the all-clear be given. The only thing in the bag was another purse containing personal belongings.
