Claire’s drives expansion in Europe

US fashion jewelry and accessories retailer Claire’s is expanding its presence in Europe. The parent company Claire’s Holdings LLC announced on Tuesday that the opening of 50 additional branches in the states of the European Union (EU) is planned for 2023 alone.

The focus is on the Italian market, which alone will account for ten of the new openings in the current year. According to the retailer, the locations planned include the metropolises of Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan and Naples. The retail chain opened its first Italian store in 2012 and currently has more than 40 stores in the country.

At the same time, the company wants to further expand cooperation with trading partners in Europe. The number of European partner shops in which Claire’s products are available is to be increased from the current 2,100 to 3,000. According to the company, the brand is already represented in the range of well-known retail chains such as Galeries Lafayette, Smyths, King Jouet and Maxi Kids in the EU.
