Champions League winner Telekom Baskets Bonn from the Basketball Bundesliga has signed national player Christian Sengfelder.
As the German runner-up announced on Friday, the Leverkusen native signed a contract until the summer of 2025.
After the Löwen Braunschweig and most recently Brose Bamberg, it is the third station in the top German division for Sengfelder, and his contract with the former series champion was terminated at the end of June.
“Chris is another player who recognized what is special about our club and the coaching staff and who chose us despite many national and especially international offers,” said Baskets sports director Savo Milovic: “We are extremely happy that we have such an experienced player We were able to win players in a German position for two years.”
Sengfelder has played 171 games in the Bundesliga so far, and the 28-year-old had already worked with Baskets coach Roel Moors in the 2019/20 season in Bamberg.
With the German national team, the newcomer won the bronze medal at the home European Championships last year. Sengfelder is also in the provisional squad for the upcoming World Cup in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines (25 August to 10 September).
