Heli Holland suspected of fraud with maintenance of ‘royal’ helicopter

Heli Holland is suspected of forgery and non-airworthy maintenance of a helicopter that was used by the king, among others. The National Police Unit confirms this to it Financial Daily.

The headquarters of the helicopter company in Emmer-Compascuum and a branch in Den Helder were raided last week. The police then seized the helicopter that was occasionally used by the king. The helicopter is now at Den Helder airfield, in a locked and sealed hangar that may not be used.

A police spokesman does not indicate which papers would have been forged by Heli Holland. It could be due to the incorrect registration of the flight hours of the aircraft, as a result of which maintenance had to be done less often than required. The company denies that.

Heli Holland director René van der Haring previously told the Financieele Dagblad that he suspects that the allegations are related to the legal actions he is taking against the award of a so-called ‘SAR contract’ (Search And Rescue) to the American helicopter company Bristow in the Netherlands . Heli Holland’s lawyer was not available for comment for the newspaper.
