Kia Lehmuskoski was absent from the Dancing with the Stars program for a year.
Dance teacher Kia Lehmuskoski is coming back Dancing with the Stars – program’s star teacher. Lehmuskoski took a year off from the program so that he could focus on his other work projects in his career as a choreographer.
Lehmuskoski tells Iltalehti that the year’s break was really good for him.
– I really have an expectant mood about the upcoming season. Everything got a very different perspective when you saw them from the outside, Lehmuskoski describes.
During the one-year break, the dance teacher’s head was filled with new ideas and thoughts.
– During the year, I realized that the song choices could be in a slightly different style than before. Over the course of the year, it has opened up to me how many songs can be put into choreographies. Adding a certain kind of entertainment is also interesting.
– I have never done only very traditional dance numbers, but I clearly notice in my thoughts that I am developing choreographies that have not been seen before and I strive to get something new out of myself, Lehmuskoski says.
I like the new pair
Lehmuskoski was refreshing to watch Dancing with the Stars -the previous season of the program on television. However, the longing for the star teacher’s work sometimes crept into my mind.
– I missed TTK, especially at the beginning of the season. At the same time, it was really wonderful to watch episodes on TV with my husband in peace on Sundays, she describes.
The TTK working group is happy that Lehmuskoski is returning to the program. Lehmuskoski, on the other hand, is particularly excited about this year’s pair.
Lehmuskoski has wanted this person as a partner before.
– I didn’t really assume anything about who I would get as a partner. I went with an open mind, but I jumped up to the ceiling when I heard my partner’s name! Lehmuskoski hints.

The chemistry of the new couple and Lehmuskoski meet in a special way. They have kept in touch a bit and dance practice will start soon.
– I have noticed that we fit together really well. We’ve been in a really good mood, he has a lot of his own ideas and he brings me new ideas. I am really inspired by his ideas, Lehmuskoski describes.
– I see a lot of potential in him, he continues.
Lehmuskoski hasn’t thought about winning, and they haven’t even talked about it with their partner.
– Every week we go to do something that suits us, what we like and what we really want to do. Then we just hope people like it. It has been our common idea from the beginning.
– We have talked about what kind of ideas we have and what we want to do. Not once have we discussed the final or the victory, Lehmuskoski opens.

According to Lehmuskoski Dancing with the Stars program has had a special meaning in his career. The program has brought him many warm memories.
– At first I was afraid that help would come again after the break and I even thought a little that maybe it wouldn’t come and this was it. But now I’m thinking no, it’s great to be back.
– It’s also wonderful that in this program the doors never close for good. Sometimes there are situations in life when you can’t participate and have to be out for the season. But now I really have an open mind to everything and it’s a pleasure to be back, Lehmuskoski sums up.
