A motorcyclist was injured on provincial road 203 (N203) in Zaandijk around 12.55 this afternoon. A doctor on spare time stopped along the road to provide first aid.
“A police car was traveling in the opposite direction when the debris of the motorcycle came towards him,” said a police spokesman. “So he was on the scene quickly.” What exactly happened is still unclear. “It appears for now that only the engine was involved in the accident.”
The motorcyclist suffered several injuries and was taken to hospital. “He has a head injury, among other things,” says the spokesperson. “He was approachable before he went with the ambulance.”
The trauma helicopter also came and landed on the N203, closing the road in both directions.
