Dutch government fallen due to disagreement about asylum policy, king returns from abroad

The government of Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has fallen due to disagreements over asylum policy. The majority parties have not reached agreement on measures to limit the number of asylum seekers, Dutch media reported on Friday based on political sources. Rutte calls the situation “regrettable, but the political reality that we cannot ignore”. Today, the Prime Minister personally offers his resignation to the King, who is returning from abroad especially for this purpose.
