Good news for the organization in Austria: Formula 1 will continue to race at the Red Bull Ring for years to come. The contract with the promoter of the grand prix at the Spielberg circuit has been extended until 2030.
The circuit in Spielberg is a loyal host of Formula 1. Between 1970 and 1987, the race in Austria was annually on the calendar of the premier class. A second period followed between 1997 and 2003. From 2014, Formula 1 returned to the track, partly due to the efforts of Dietrich Mateschitz, the founder of energy drink manufacturer Red Bull, who died last year. Two-time world champion Verstappen drives for the Red Bull Racing team.
