Gaziantep Football Club, one of the teams of Spor Toto Super League, started its preparations for the 2023-2024 season.
The first training session of the new season, held at Gaziantep Football Club Facilities under the management of Erdal Güneş, lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes.
The training started with warm-up movements and ended with coordination work.
The club’s president, Memik Yılmaz, told reporters that they are in a recovery process after withdrawing from the league.
Stating that they are trying to heal the wounds in the team, Yılmaz said, “We rented about 15 of our football players to various teams. We parted ways with 5 players whose contracts expired. We were caught badly by the earthquake with our team. We had to sell Figueiredo.” said.
Noting that they have started preparations for the new season, Yılmaz said:
“We don’t want to make a mistake. We are discussing the transfer processes with our teacher and sporting director. Hopefully, we will transfer 3-5 football players that we lack and we will try to establish a good team and do good things in the new season. We formed our executive committee by holding our congress. About 14 of our friends in the executive committee do their part under the name of donations. He made donations of 2.5 million liras to our team. From now on, we will continue in harmony with our friends. We trust our teacher. Our teacher has been in this team for 6 years and our son who knows everything. Our teacher remembers both his acting period and his assistant teacher period. Our teacher Erdal is a personality, character, We are a coach who has a weight on our players. I hope he will give what is expected of him.”
