Berlin’s buses and trains will be fully operational again next week

Berlin’s buses and trains will gradually return to normal operations next week.

Both the S-Bahn and the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) had recently reduced their services due to increased sick leave and quarantine among staff as a result of the Omicron wave.

► The BVG subways and trams will return to the full timetable on Monday, as the company announced on Friday.

► Starting next week, there will be additional trips for the buses in addition to the intervals published in the timetable information – from the following Monday, the regular timetables will apply again.

“We are pleased to be able to offer our passengers all trips again,” said Operations Director Rolf Erfurt.

► From the end of next week, the S-Bahn will run again according to the regular timetable, Deutsche Bahn announced on Friday. From Monday, the clock amplifiers of the S5 will be in use again during peak traffic hours, and the S26 will also be running again on weekends from next Saturday. The S75 increases its frequency again on weekends and then runs every 10 minutes.
